We leave from Marina de Denia and run along the Montgo coast toward Les Rotes and the cape. It is a spectacular stretch of water and a protected one: inside the Cap de Sant Antoni marine reserve, anchoring is prohibited and jet-skis are banned, so we use the authorised mooring buoys and keep the visit calm. Our skippers know exactly where the party can be loud and where it cannot, so the day stays fun and stays legal.

Leaving Marina de Denia
Meet at the marina, quick briefing, cooler loaded, and away. The Montgo stands 753 metres straight up behind the town — the Phoenicians called it "the elephant" — and it is the backdrop for the whole trip.
The Les Rotes coast
South of the harbour the coast turns rocky and the water goes clear over the reef. First swim stop, snorkels out, music on. Snorkelling here is free and needs no permit — and there is more to look at than you expect: this is a reef, not a sandy beach.
Cap de Sant Antoni
The cliffs where the Montgo drops 150 metres into the sea. Inside the reserve we use the authorised mooring buoys instead of anchoring, because anchoring there is prohibited by law. It is the quiet stretch in the middle of your day, and the part everyone ends up photographing.
The run home
Back up the coast with the light going gold on the limestone, music up once we are outside the reserve, and a last swim for anyone still in the mood. Back in port in time for the old town.

It depends entirely on the boat, and every boat has a legal capacity we do not exceed. Small groups of six to eight fit comfortably on a motorboat or a smaller catamaran; larger groups take a bigger boat. Tell us how many of you there are and we will show you what fits — and be honest if your number means stepping up a size.
Yes to both. Connect your phone to the sound system and play whatever you like. Bring your own drinks and use the coolers on board, or ask us to stock the boat before you arrive. We will ask you to keep glass to a minimum for obvious reasons, and the skipper always has the final word on volume inside the marine reserve.
The standard run is south along the Montgo coast to Les Rotes and out toward Cap de Sant Antoni, with swim stops where the water is best on the day. It is your charter, so the route is flexible — the one thing that is not flexible is the marine reserve rules around the cape.
The Cap de Sant Antoni reserve protects posidonia meadows and submerged caves, and the rules are legally binding — they come from a regional decree. Anchoring is prohibited outright, so we use the authorised ecological mooring buoys. Recreational fishing is banned in all forms, and jet-skis are not allowed inside the reserve. Scuba diving needs prior authorisation from the regional authority, though snorkelling is free. In practice it means a calmer stretch in the middle of your day — and it is why the water there is as clear as it is.
The season runs June to October, when the sea is above 20°C — August is warmest at around 26°C. The Levante breeze usually builds through the afternoon, so morning trips tend to be flatter and sunset trips are the prettiest. If you are here in early July, the town is in the middle of Bous a la Mar, when a timber arena goes up on the fishing quay with its open side facing the water — it has been running in this form since 1947. Close to the coast in summer the water is usually calm, and the swim stops are in sheltered spots. If seasickness is a worry, take a catamaran — twin hulls barely move compared with a monohull — and go in the morning before the afternoon breeze fills in. Tell us when you book and the skipper will plan around it.
We reschedule or refund. Nobody wants a party boat in a swell, so if the forecast is wrong for it, the skipper calls it and you choose a new date or take your money back. Denia does get a lot of good weather in season — but when it does not, we do not pretend otherwise.
